Paint-code matching is not the same as a guaranteed invisible repair.

Factory paint can vary with production batch, model year, exposure and panel condition. Test a tiny hidden area first, compare it in daylight after drying, and stop if the shade or finish is not acceptable.

Set up the repair area

Clean, dry and level before you try to match the color.

The visible result depends as much on preparation and layer control as on the selected shade. Remove loose contamination, protect the surrounding finish and work in a dry, well-lit place.

• Wash and degrease the area, then let it dry completely
• Remove loose paint edges only; do not widen a stable chip just to make it look uniform
• Use the supplied sanding or repair material gently and keep dust out of the wet paint
• Test the selected code on an inconspicuous spot before working on the visible panel

Do not judge the final color while it is wet.

Metallic and pearl finishes change as they dry and reflect light. Compare the repaired spot only after it has dried and under more than one lighting angle.

4. Test before the panelApply a tiny amount to a hidden edge or spare test surface. Check the dry color, gloss and metallic/pearl appearance in daylight.
5. Build thin coatsApply a small amount, let the surface dry, then repeat only if coverage is still needed. Avoid a thick ridge that will shrink or remain visible.
6. Let the repair settleThe listing gives about 10 minutes at normal temperature for surface drying, not a universal full-cure time. Keep the area dry and avoid washing until the coating has fully set.
